Strategic Growth Rooted in Purpose: The Leadership Journey
Denia Yuniarti Abdussaamad is known as a business leader with more than 18 years of experience in the Indonesian business world. Known for her strategic expertise and extensive network in the industrial, mineral resources, and energy sectors, her influence spans key sectors including industry, mineral resources, energy, finance, and investment—each reflecting her deep understanding of how to transform complexity into opportunity. Denia's entrepreneurial journey began not in boardrooms, but on the ground—through a small creative economy venture in the fashion industry, launching her own local shoe brand, Denia Ponti. She faced many ups and downs along the way, learning the realities of entrepreneurship from the ground up. She is currently leads Ventrue Capital, a rising financial and investment firm with strategic interests across Southeast Asia. She also serves as the Group CEO of Qalba Muda Group, a diversified holding company with core businesses in both metallic and non-metallic mining, green energy, and integrated logistics. Her leadership further extends to the boardroom as Deputy Commissioner of LBP and Vice Chairwoman of LBP Enterprises, a multi- sectoral holding entity with broad national reach. Denia holds a Master’s degree in Political Communication from the University of Indonesia (UI). Her academic foundation in energy diplomacy, global industrial policy, and natural resource governance continues to inform her approach to policy dialogue and cross-border collaboration. Throughout her career, she has taken on multiple leadership roles in national business associations. She is currently the Vice Chairwoman for Energy & Mineral Resources at KEIND (Indonesian Entrepreneur Chamber) and has served on the National Board of KADIN Indonesia for four consecutive terms—nearly two decades of continuous contribution. Her portfolio includes key appointments in KADIN’s Standing Committees for Fisheries & Maritime Affairs, Environment & Natural Resources, and most recently, Industrial Business Climate. Beyond corporate achievement, her focus on inclusive growth is unwavering. She has mentored countless SMEs, especially in emerging regions like Kalimantan, reinforcing her belief that lasting economic transformation starts from the bottom up. Her work in building local entrepreneurship ecosystems reflects a leadership style rooted in substance over spectacle. She is also regarded for her ability to navigate between public and private spheres with ease. Her strategic diplomacy, sharp policy acumen, and ability to build coalitions have made her a valuable voice in national development dialogues—one that prioritizes alignment over ambition, and solutions over rhetoric. Denia's passion for gender equity runs parallel to her business leadership. Her voice has amplified the role of women in strategic sectors—through keynote appearances, policy roundtables, and grassroots initiatives. She speaks not only from conviction but from experience. This year, her focus has shifted toward legacy. From vocational training for women to youth-led innovation hubs and green infrastructure in rural economies, she is deliberately channeling her platform to serve the greater good. .Her journey reflects the spirit of the well-known Indonesian adage, "Terbentur, terbentur, terbentur, terbentuk"— through repeated trials, true strength is forged. From building a small creative business to navigating volatile industries, her path has been anything but linear. Each obstacle—whether financial, structural, or societal—did not weaken her resolve but instead sharpened her instincts, shaped her leadership, and prepared her to operate with resilience at the highest levels of business and policy. It is through these very collisions that she was formed—not by comfort, but by persistence.
